Encore workers have retired, or are about to retire, and are looking to engage/re-engage in the workforce, an “encore” to their previous work career. Whether it’s an individual looking to pursue a life-long hobby in the form of a paid position or one who’s looking for a chance to engage in a wholly different kind of work, today’s world of work is an opportune time to re-engage in the workforce. Many employers are offering more flexible schedules and wages have never been higher.
My Glacier Village, a local non-profit organization supporting seniors in their homes, is featuring encore careers as the focus of their upcoming quarterly educational presentation on April 6th. “Encore Careers and More” will feature a panel of presenters including Kalispell Job Service, Flathead Valley Community College, Kalispell Chamber and more, moderated by Phil Quigley of Phil Quigley & Associates, sharing more about the new world of work (and volunteer) opportunities for retirees looking to explore more about what it means to have an “encore.”
The panel presentation will be held at the Gateway Community Center, Gathering Place room, at 1pm on April 6th. The event is free to attend, but registration is requested. You can register at: www.myglaciervillage.com/events
